International Student Open House at PSU
Last night I just returned from attending the International Open House at Portland State University sponsored by the Saudi Student Club and Organization of International Students. Fred and I had our FOCUS display up to connect with students we know as well as those that have never heard of FOCUS.
Honestly I always think we have great coverage among PSU international students since we meet at least 800-1000 each year though some event or service we offer. I guess the truth is that is about half of PSU’s international student population so I shouldn’t be surprised at the number students there we hadn’t met yet!
The night featured catered hors d’oeuvres, displays from many cultural groups and just the right mix of music, presentation and of course lots of students and their associated cultural group. It was awesome to see so many gulf state students in their traditional middle east clothing. They always look so classy!
